DIY Faux Brick Wall from Lowes

And with this, another DIY faux wall was born! I love, love, love me a brick wall.  I mean, who doesn't, right.  Right?  They are amazing.  The tens of minutes that turn into hours upon hours of searching industrial spaces on Pinterest inevitably include dozens upon dozens of delicious, textured, distressed, exposed brick walls. And I want one.  But.  I don't have the time or space or dolla-dolla bills for one.  Enter the "faux brick" search, and up popped these panels from Lowes.

And at this price tag, we were in business!!

my honey-does-it-best took all the measurements and concluded we needed 5 panels to do the job.

seriously.  Rhett's expressions kill me.  :D

... it was love!

the tape outlines are where the couch/sofa bed will go

with a mask and a kiss,
we got started.

  Room changer!
Without a doubt.

Up Next.. white washing/distressing, otherwise known as second-guessing,
send a million and one texts to my DIY'er Queen of a SIL, we can always paint over it, torture!

Obsession

source

I am obsessed with this photo.  Our back patio is just big enough at 23x14 to do something with it, and just small enough to not do much with it.  Current thoughts are to dedicate it to one single purpose:  the above.  Now.  Is the wooden arbor absolutely necessary?  Do you know how much $$$$ those suckers are? Or, could the same feel be achieved with some sort of metal gazebo, that a table could sit under, without creating the feeling of being a bird, in a cage. I'm not sure, but I am determined to make our back patio into a whimsical, vine infested, green space to enjoy summer evenings in.
