Beach Days

We have been so blessed to spend a wonderful, extended weekend with our good friends Mike and Amy on the Oregon Coast. Blessed and straight Lucky. It's not every day you get good weather on the Oregon Coast. Wait, scratch that. It's not often, AT ALL, that you get good weather here, and it has been downright beautiful, every single day. This afternoon Mike and Amy took us to a beautiful little beach set in a cove that protected the beach from the winds, and I swear to you, with almost no wind, and with the sun beaming down.. Us girls, laying on a blanket on the warm sand, actually said out loud two words rarely said on a coastal strip in Oregon: Swim Suit. It was actually imaginable to think, in that moment, that exactly where we lay + a day like today + a bathing suit = within the realm of possibility. Of course, just 30 minutes later a cloud layer rolled in and provided just enough sun blockage, that while still a decent day on the beach, dashed all that nonsense of two pieces of itty bitty clothing right outside the window. Still though. Lucky. What a wonderfully lucky day.

It has been way too long since we've been to the coast. I need to make it happen before school starts up again. Beach trip needs to happen.
