Tristen has been hustling Entertainment Books all week. You know what I'm talking about, right? Those books with coupons that all the kids hustle for the school? It's the first year I've allowed him to participate in a school fundraiser. I had him trained not to even bring those darn things home. I've always been highly opposed to guilt'ing friends and family to buy cheap crap. But this year he's fundraising for a trip to Ashland for the Shakespearean Festival, and I'll be damned if I'm not going to swallow my pride and allow him to raise the money on his own. ;) Every Portland based family in the family has bought one, what Gems of family we have. It's been a fun experience for us too, really. We've already saved more than the purchase price of the book by taking that coupon book out and about town, and have eaten at some fun places we likely never would have discovered on our own. Fine School Fundraisers. Fine.
