What'd we do over the summer? We got married!

I have not updated this blog of mine in way, way, way too long.  So much has happened in the past few months.  I know exactly where I want to start though...  hands down the single most fantastic thing we did this summer?  WE GOT MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!  What!?  Yesssssssss.we.did.  And married life?  Is fabulous. Life itself hasn't calmed in the way I thought it might post wedding though, let me tell you.  Life in fact seems busier and more dynamic then ever.  But no longer having an event to plan has opened up space in my brain that needs an outlet.. and to the blog I return.  I plan to bombard the blog with all the itty bitty details I can recall of the summer, the wedding planning, the biggest surprise I've ever been a part of, and of course will work to narrow down the 600+ photos that "I love" from our special day.  It might be random, and it might take days, or weeks, between finding times to sneak in posts and hopelessly trying to narrow down all the photos, to get it all on here.  But it's coming.  I can't wait to relive it, share it, and document it to remember always.

... in other news, I've updated the name of the blog from Distinctly M to Makaila Lynn.  Change has done me good this year, and changing the blog name to better represent Me, cause well, Makaila Lynn, is Me ~ just felt right.
