Target does it again. a Striped Maxi

I'm sort of obsessed with this Tar'Jae skirt.  I love the stripes.  I love the lines.  I love the waistband.  I love how it hugs my hips yet makes them appear smaller than the are.  I looove pairing it with color.  I love this maxi.  This is the only quick shot I took that made Instagram as my #herewegofriday daily wear pic...  I wish I had more photos so I could have tried to capture how it flows and sways oh so perfectly.  That said, I've seen this skirt around blog land, so high chances you've seen it or wore it in action.  It really is Fab.

I virtually snooped Target's skirts tonight and here are a few I found that I think may be worth trying in store.. my favorite?  #2.  That little sailor striped blue and white mini.  How cute!  Or #3.  Can be worn as a skirt OR dress!  I'm envisioning it as a dress.. with a belt.  And then look at that #5.  How cute is that little red peplum skirt!?  and at $14.99?  phish.  It's a no brainer. Do you like any of these?  Are you a Tar'Jae believer?  I must admit, I've had great luck lately, and I'm a believer.  :)

what's better than dinner with friends?  ...nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  Especially when that dinner is at Mindy's house.  My word.  The girl outdoes herself to extreme degrees.  Mindy has a Gift.  It goes beyond talent to pure gift.    Her home, her garden, her cooking, her children.  Simply beautiful, and Scrumptious! All of it!  You can find the recipes for what Mindy made for dinner here. My mouth is watering right now thinking about it!  If you have a dinner party coming up, dig through Mindy's food archives.  I promise you, you will not be disappointed.  Thanks again Mindy & Lonnie for having us! Having left my core group of friends behind in my hometown, what I miss absolutely the most is at-home dinner parties & chillin' with friends...  Friday night was the best.  

I made a quick day trip to Kahneeta yesterday to see Tristen play golf.. such a beautiful day out on the reservation, and it was so good to see my Bird.  I'll be back with photos.. after I get done with today.  Days off are grand, but catching up- not so much!

just call me jane of the jungle ~ a day at the Washougal River

it was a remember-able Saturday out at the river. the best part was hanging with my long time girlfriend Tana, whom I haven't seen in aaaagggges, and my sissy. and then there was my moment as "jane of the jungle".  getting down into the Washougal River "Naked Falls" requires a strategic shimmy down a very steep decline.  you have to use a rope for half of it.  the decline in was something else, but the incline up.  ohmeeeeeeega!   

see that rope in the last photo?  see that guy at the bottom of the photo with all the bags?  [hard to make out, but he's holding about 4 bags stuffed with blankets, pillows, mags, and such].  now picture me.  picture me starting the climb up, loosing my footing, and holding on to that rope for dear life.  with those four massive stuffed bags hanging from my body.  see me swinging back and forth, from one side to the other, in slow motion, yelping "aaaaaaaahhhh" for all of Naked Falls to hear. and hear Tana up above dying laughing and yelling "jaaane of the juuuungle!!"  

yes. THAT happened.  talk about mortifying. after I finally dropped myself back down on the rock, after poor Karley fell and about slide herself into a hole of water trying to catch me, that nice man in the photo ran up and took all our bags and brought them up to the top for us.  he earned himself some good karma and possibly helped avert a death by stoopid at the falls that day.
