I found the trunk last weekend at the Salvation Army and I was so happy, I about peed myself. {channel Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, after seeing the Opera. Yes. I was just about that happy} I had to Have it. And I knew that it Had to be incorporated into my 10 foot wide by 6 feet deep holiday bazaar space that I am participating in November 3rd.
My mind has been conjuring and storing random tid bits of what I wanted my selling space to look and feel like. and then, yesterday, I was hit upside the head with an Epiphany. Well, it was either an Epiphany, or a luckily timed cruise through pinterest where I saw a pallet headboard and the Vision was found, and the rest is what you see above. Although, in between the rest, I had to run as fast as I could past Rhett thinking it was a bad idea, hurdle over a male co-worker trying to convince me cardboard would work just the same + be way easier [Men], throw myself as hard as I could into charming a man with a truck to let me borrow it for 35 + 25 minutes so I could go secure myself some pallets, and pierce a dagger through my fatigue to get 'er done. But I did it. And I'm damn glad I did. :) Still much to do, but I am loving where it is going..
If you have any suggestions, likes, don't likes, please do let me know!
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. XO -m-

What a gorgeous idea!
I LOVE this! It looks amazing, you've done such a great job so far! I think you should definitely see if you can find another trunk to keep the frames in. I love the vintage feel of trunks and you definitely have that vibe going on here. :)

This is exciting! so happy for you that you are following a dream of yours!
Uh...you were born to do stuff like this.
It's perfection. Vintage perfection.
I hope you're blowing pinterest up with your gorgousness! I'm loving it!
It looks beautiful!! In response to your questions: if you have them, I would add more to the backs of the pallets- sell what you can! I wouldn't add lace to the pallets- you don't want to distract from your masterpieces and pallets are a huge look right now! I love the drawer- adds more character! Good luck!!!
I love it! All of it! I like all the ideas everyone listed above and I like it just as it is:)So proud of you Makaila:)
This space looks amazing. I would buy anything you put in there just because it was displayed in such an amazing fashion. Way to go, friend.
Looks great! Would you mind e-mailing me where teh bazaar will be? I have a feeling my sister in law is either selling her stuff there or will want to go check it out (she lives in Portland).
This looks awesome! Honestly, I love the pallets without any lace. The "M" is awesome and I love love love your frames, that TRUNK! and the suit cases. You could so do window displays. I'm excited to hear how it went!
LOVE it!!!! We want a trunk just like it, have been looking on craigslist....wish us LUCK:-)
I love it already!!! You have such an eye for this stuff! And yes, I think you should add some lace over the palettes, but don't cover them up too much. And I think more glam glass...love the piece you posted on IG. And if you can, yes, hang frames on the back!! You got this!!
all sorts of fabulous! i absolutely love it!
Um, I think that looks absofuckingfantastic. Seriously. I love every single thing.
