This weekend was like a relay race. Go, go, go. I knew it'd be insane, but it was soo worth it. Especially the part where I got to see Amy!! Rhett had a job in Newport, on the Oregon Coast, and Mike and Amy live in Newport so Tristen and I spent Saturday evening with them, and naturally, we hit the carnival.
Being a kid again..
is NOT overrated.
In fact, it's the Best.
The Fire Ball.
Amy and I strapped in and flew around in circles.
Mike and Amy are the cutest couple Ever.
All four of us hit the rocking boat thingy...
and Tristen and Mike took a ride on the Drop Zone..
"Come on Tristen, this ain't no thang."
Chillin at the top..
Then Boom!
Legs out baby!
The look on Tristen's face was PRICELESS.
and then we went swinging.
and it was the WORST.
Amy and I rode together and some stray joined us.
He was apparently seeking to induce his already high state of mind.
it was flippin freezing...
brrrrrrrrr.
I think I said at least 5 times that I didn't like it while
we were whirling around in the sky,
bumping around to the wind,
listening to mister tripper next to us
saying random things about dying.
but it did get me this shot...
which I guess made it worth it.
and then, on the way out, the biggest moment of the night..
Tristen won!!!!!!!!
I was soooo happy for him.
He talked about it for the next 24 hours.
we were leaving as this group of pre-prom-party
high-schoolers made a pit stop at the carnival.
We were already loaded in the truck,
but I HAD to have a shot.
Mike drove up as close as we could get,
I rolled down my window,
popped on my big ol paparazzi lens
and the kids ate it up.
I love kids.
I'm craving me some real roller coasters now..
and Rhett and I have never gone strapped in sky wheeling before.
a guy from work was telling me how he took his daughter to Six Flags recently
and it sounded off le hook. {shout out babe ;)}
I'm thinking a formal roller coasting date needs to make it's way onto the calendar this summer,
for sure.

SO i love this. But i don't do roller coasters anymore without a side of queasy served. So this made me a little vertigo-ish. But i still loved it.
I STILL have to make it to the coast. One of these days.
I love amusement parks. I haven't been to one in ages though. I am loving your friends hair in those shots, it's priceless!
what fun pictures!! I haven't been on a rollar coaster in such a long time! I don't think I'm a fan of big rollar coasters! have a great week!!

Your pictures totally managed to capture the energy of the evening. And now I want to find an amusement park between here and Seattle. We'll stop on our drive westward and I'll make the Huz ride till he pukes.

uh - that shot you got on the swing!? *LOVE*
I would have seriously puked my brains out. I ride roller coasters that's it. No swings. And Ian totally has that Jamacian banana he won last year at the fair.
OMG, I just got sick looking at the rides.
Once upon a time, when I was a tiny punk kid I never got motion sickness.. sad.
You look like you had a rockin time, despite the cold.
I love the pictures. Love them.
This looks like so much fun, although I think you're a lot braver than I am when it comes to rides!!
this looks like such a great time!
I love rollercoasters, but my BF doesn't really care for them! Imagine me sitting in the first car with hands in the air screaming and him holding on eyes closed. It's hilar!
Looks like a great weekend, next time bring me with! ;)
