thanks to the Portland School District, I am coming off a FOUR day weekend. Swoon x 100. It's amazing what a few days home will do for a girl. It's Monday night and I am feeling relaxed and reveling in the fun that has taken place the past few days. It started Friday, when Tristen and I met Rhett and took the Max up to the airport for lunch. There's something so fun about being in the bustle of an airport ~ but not having to bustle. We checked out the shops and ate at Beaches, and even though we were 3250 miles from Waikiki, the beach side vibe was the perfect setting for a staycation lunch. Cool tid bit about the PDX Airport: restaurants aren't allowed to price gauge, so prices are the same there as they are anywhere else. Ever gone to the airport ~ just to have lunch? If you haven't, you should. :)

I have never thought of going to the airport to have lunch just to do it. It would be awesome to be in the airport and not have to rush about but watch everyone else do so, haha.

Sounds like so much fun, I love staycations. I feel so much more relaxed after than going on a real vacation.
Mmm, I would go to lunch at the airport if it didn't cost a crazy amount of money in tolls and parking to get there... oh Boston...

I used to travel for work so I avoid airports....but it probably would be nice to go without the stress of security and hauling luggage!
When Jestina came to town, it was a staycation of sorts for me. I forgot how many fun things there are to do in Omaha!
Ihave never done that, but it sounds fun! LAX has a pretty cool restaurant on the airport grounds. I should definately consider checking it out. At least during one of our airport drop offs. IT would make driving up to LA seem less daunting and horrible.
And this is why I love you so! You guys take the simplest things in life and make them magical. I have never gone to the airport just to hang out...but I think my kids would LOVE it. What a fun staycation! ;)
Yay for a four day weekend! The airport here is totally different from the airport there. It's just a small place where people fly biplanes. They do have a restaurant called Two Niner Diner and we go sit outside and watch people take off.
Um... definitely going to try this!
