Fort Kit ~ D.I.Y.

I remember l.ov.ing to make forts with my brothers and sisters when we were kids. We'd string blankets across the living room to create "secret" spaces to play and sleep in.  When my brilliant friend Heidi told me about seeing a how-to make a "Fort Kit" on a blog [as soon as I find out who it was, I will give credit where credit is due], I had to make one.  It's the CUTEST thing I have ever made.  I am just dying to give it to my niece for Christmas.  Here's how I did it.. [i'm on my way to being a "Real" crafter, so bear with my descriptions on how to do things - I'm working on the lingo]

~ To Make a Fort Kit ~

you need:
  • Sheet Set [from Ross for $7.99]
  • Yarn for drawstring
  • Clothes Pins from IKEA
  • Mini Flashlight
  • Thread and Needle

[This is the excess fabric from cutting the pillow case (see above photo), and cardboard that came out of the sheet set]

Is that ADORABLE, or what??

Extra note:  What is so FAB about the bag made from the pillow case is that it is soo Big! You don't have to fold the sheets up to get them into the bag- just crumple them up and stuff them in.

What do you think??

Is this the cutest thing you've ever seen,
or am I just uper duper super excited that I actually made it?
