My Girlfriends

I am on cloud nine this week following Rhett's proposal and as I was sitting here reflecting on my excitement in sharing my happiness with the women in my life, I realized how very truly blessed I am by the precious  friendships I have.  At times in my life, I have been careless with my friendships.  I have my blood sisters [3 of them], and my mom, so I've always had four automatic places to turn for support and womanly love, and at times I've simply taken that for granted and haven't nurtured and cared for my friendships with other women as I should.  But as I've sat here thinking about the different women that I have in my life, that I shared my big news with, and how they have been estatic with me ~ I realize and acknowledge that each one of them, and my excitement to tell them, and their reactions, has meant the absolute world to me and had made this week so much sweeter.  Each one of these special women in my life are unique and provide me amazing support, outlets, encouragement, and motivation. They build me up, making me more confident, brave, and help me to be a better person.  And they each do so in different ways.  That's what so beautiful about friendship.

These two girls opened an entire new world to me this year.

They give me brilliant ideas to try  ~ from cooking, to decorating, to fashion.
It holds me accountable to try new things.  

By doing this, they are making me feel successful and accomplished in my life.

They share laughs and giggles, and rants and raves.

They encourage me every single day.

Jenn knows me best.

She always will.

We moved in together at the ripe age of 18 and we've been besties ever since.

We live in seperate cities, but we talk every.single.day. 

She called me at 5am every single day in October to get my butt out of bed and to the gym,

so I would reach my goals.

Jenn knows my quirks, my family, my background and
she gives me Perspective.

These girls show me how important, and exciting, and wonderful little ones are.

I have learned to love, treasure, and embrace babies by being a part of these girls lives.

Jade is the sweetest, most selfless, caring woman who has been there for me countless times. 

She always responds, always encourages, and always loves.

Cherice constantly tells me how much she loves my son

And this makes me so proud.

These girls go waayy back.  Think high-school days.

They've seen me through every single milestone in my life and always, always, always

are there for me ~ no matter what.
We've changed,  we're different, and we grow, but we are sisters.
For these girls to still love and care about me all these years,
makes me feel so special.
