cupcakes, boots, and water fountains

we spent an afternoon in Redmond Oregon,
a small suburb town about 15 minutes from Bend.
Growing up, Redmond was the blue headed step child of Bend,
the "hick" town that no one had a use for or wanted to claim any affiliation with.

but it has received a massive face lift over the past few years,
and now features cobbled roadways,
darling little {inexpensive!} vintage shops,
a public water fountain plaza,
and the most DELICIOUS cupcakes
I ever have had.

this shop The Back Porch & Company
is an independently owned vintage collection.
I was in AWE the moment I stepped inside.
Literally from floor to ceiling,
it dripped in gorgeousness.

I was so inspired!

and I found my famed $15 boots!
{Down the Rabbit Hole.  How cute a name is That?!}

then.
we stopped for a cupcake.
the frosting had to be straight flavored lard.
holygoodness.

after cupcakes,
we strolled down to City Hall.
right across the street is a water fountain plaza
featuring even a cafe..
the perfect place to be lazy and get wet in the gorgeous
Central Oregon weather.

man.
it was the best afternoon.

Beautiful photos! I need to travel to Oregon more often, it always looks so pretty! I have made it to Portland but that's about it :)

Adorable little town! I am jealous of the vintage stores. The "vintage" here is just crap.

When I come someday you ate gonna take me to all these placed right. That's what I thought. What kind of cupcake was that. And I love piles of lard on my cupcakes. Southern people love lard. My add is 60 percent lard.

I LOVE small towns...seriously, i bet the locals passed those boots up and didn't think twice. I also loved that white dresser--and your white dress....so cute!

I think auto correct is a twat waffle. It messes up my funniness. My ass is 60 percent lard. There I said it

Look at the lovely day that you had with your man - and look at those amazing boots. And look at you being all cute and sassy. And look at me being all jealous over here on the east coast (insert grumpy face)

Oregon might be the only other state I'd ever want to live in. Sounds like a fun time. The cupcake picture left me craving one!

Makaila, thank you for swinging by my blog and commenting, and I'm so glad I found yours in return! I love how varied it is. I'm an Oregon girl myself - finished high school and went to undergrad there, and I miss it terribly!
