I've always had dreamy goals of re-do'ing furniture. I see all these fantastic furniture make-over's and I think "I can do that!!" and of course I can! But. Will I do that?
Rhett picked up this dresser last week off CL. It wasn't quite what he thought it was going to be. But I saw it and thought, I could do something with this! It's real, solid wood, and quite beautiful wood at that. And it's sturdy; it has good bones. And it had some cool detail.. hmmmm. I stood there thinking I could do something with it... and then... I did something with it! I broke out the hand sander that my dad gave me 10 years ago for Christmas and got busy.
this is the progress thus far.. I'm thrilled with how it's coming along! Another hour of sanding and it will be ready for.... for what!? A white wash? Definitely some cool knobs. Where should I go for some inspiration? Pinterest? Such the obvious answer, right. If you have any ideas, please share!

I had big dreams of restoring an old desk for our house. Then when I was searching for one, I got so freaked out at our antique stores that I stopped looking. I'm a wimp.
i literally pinned something last night that is similar (that doesn't require sanding cause i'm lazy).

I always dream of making over furniture too and finally did my first project a a few months ago & LOVED it!! So high five for taking that first step. I'm not sure of your decor but right away I pictured this in tomato red!! Whatever you do I'm sure it'll be great.
