Last night Rhett drove me to Hayden Island for a walk on the waterfront. I had never been before. Hayden Island is located directly on the Oregon border across from Washington, and runs along the Columbia River. I fell in love. Deep, wrenching love. As I type here on my couch in my current residence, my heart is still there, on Hayden Island. Each little condominium, resort-like-community, features gorgeous gardens, and offers at least one pool ~ one even features a "roof top" pool with views of magnificent Mt. Hood, the River, and the marina. It's so calm. There is a beautiful walking path through it all, along the river, lush with greenery and bright colorful flowers. Every single person we passed on the path smiled. And said Hi. To sit and stare out my window at all those boats.. and into that deep soft body of water.. The hopeful search will begin. My body needs to reside there. Finally. I think I have found a place in Portland I could truly call home.

You found a place on the water!!! Are you going to move there?? It looks like something you'd love. It's gorgeous! When can I come visit?? :)
Are you moving?! I sure hope you get to live there! It's beautiful.
Stunning photos. I love when I find "home" even if I can't move there.

Anyplace with a waterfront view, sunshine and nice people is a place I could call home. (but it needs to be in that order). :) have a great weekend lady!
And, I shall reside there with you.. i'm down with the third wheel.
can i make that home too? because just looking at your pictures and i feel peaceful.
you're looking mighty fine in that picture!
Could you please find us two places. We don't have to be neighbors but close by. I love ya that's all!
i must go here. i must fall in love too. i must be your neighbor.
I think we should all relocate and have a bloggy neighborhood. We'd never get anything done, but it would be SO FUN!
