i look at this photo, of when she was just a wee little one,
and i try to pinpoint exactly when it was that she got so womanly. so brave.
so adventurous. so confident. so self-sufficient.
i'm in Oregon, she's about to be in Hawaii.
indefinitely.
tomorrow she's flying solo, with no return date,
to those islands that borderline heaven
to see what she sees,
find what she finds,
to live the island life.
i'm so proud of you sis.
my chest is puffed full.
and so is Mel's.
we talked tonight and we are so dang proud of you.
should we have been carefree at 23,
we'd be doing the same damn thing.

Indefinitely!! Tickets aren't that crazy anymore from PDX! Girls trip!!
I am sure she will learn to learn to hula and live in a hut, pick coconuts, spit flame fire and become friends with a guy with a piece of material covering his privates. Then when you go visit oh, the sites you can see.
well, you'll at least have a great excuse for the plane ticket...its family after all :)
