along with my recent knotted scarf obsession, I am also recently obsessed with an artist that I literally stumbled across at a street concert two weeks ago.. he had a show at an art festival this past Friday night, and it was $10 to get in before 6pm, $25 after 6p, so I darted out of work early, raced home, threw on the vision of an outfit I had in conjured up in my mind while pecking away on my keyboard all day, and drove my body to the show.
Rhett had to work till 8p, and I couldn't find a girlfriend to go, so I was flying solo. I pulled up to the venue, and slowly rolled by, eyeing all the peoples walking into the show.. and then I made myself a little U turn and drove right back on by again.. and then I bailed.
I bailed on myself!!
I.could.not.believe.I.did.it.
Couldn't believe it!
I bailed on a show I had been dying to see allll week long. I was all stoked to sing along to every single song cause I've listened to his album 101 times since discovering him, and you wanna know why I bailed? I couldn't bring myself to bounce in there all solo, looking like a fluffy little ballerina with a crisis identity in cowboy boots rather than ballet flats, and so obviously born in the year 1980 with my kick back chambray. I kept on driving straight to my mexi-hole, bellied myself up to the counter, and ate all the comfort food I could stuff in my mouth to stuff down what a disappointment I was! I mean, how lame was THAT. That darn dress made me do it.

I cannot imagine doing anything solo. Not in public. I hate to even shop for clothes by myself - I always need a second opinion.
So, what I'm say is, I would have done the same thing. Oh, and I love those boots.
You look gorgeous - love the whole look. I don't have a problem going to eat by myself or the movies, not sure about something like that, tho.
I used to be terrified of doing things on my own. Then I dated a guy that worked the complete opposite hours of me. So I started taking myself out to dinner and movies. It just became second nature. I kind of miss it now!
For the record I love your outfit and I think everyone there would have too - but then again I'm on the east coast.

The only thing that ever makes me push my comfort zone and do things solo is moving...so weird. Next time you push your butt in there! The more you do it, the easier it gets :)
You look sooooo cute!! I would wear that in a hot minute!!
I have done that occasionally though so don't worry!
That dang dress made you so beautiful you just couldn't share it with anyone else until now.
I went to a play by myself a couple of summers ago and it was SUPER AWKWARD! I felt like everyone was staring at me the whole time. I must have been the only solo person there.
Doing stuff solo is hard.
You look adorable! I don't like to do hardly anything alone, except shop.
I would have done the same thing...I hate doing anything by myself! You have to wear this again...you looked too cute to go home!! ;)

this was hilarious!! hahaha.
bailing on yourself, i've done it. i fully support you blaming a sheet of cloth. why not.
what? you didn't want to show your amazing self, in that amazing dress?
I don't think I've ever even been to a restaurant by myself. I'm not good at doing things alone. I've finally gotten ok with going into a restaurant alone when I'm meeting someone. I used to just wait in the car until they got there.
I LOVE your outfit!
um hello. You looked so darn cute! Did you ask your co-worker who happens to LOVE concerts to go with you? Heck, I would have dropped everything to go with you if I knew you were going to do that!!
I would have done the exact same thing; been super pumped to go and be independent, then driven by and kept on driving. And then also followed by mexican food.
Except I would've gotten it to go because I can't eat out somewhere alone either. Wahh waaaahhhh....
NOOOOOO!!! Don't you ever do that again. I've been to plenty of live concerts alone and have had a ball. Besides you looked way too cute to not let the world see. Ballerina dress + cowboy boots = huge win!!
