| meet Red. |
last night rhett came home with a BIG surprise for tristen. meet our new pet: "Red". tristen is on cloud freaking nine. the boy could not contain his happiness. he even let me take pictures; tho with no flash. he thinks Red will go blind if i put a flash on him.
we all sat and stared at him and watched him swim around for a bit and then tristen declared that we needed to go get Red a fish toy to keep him happy. well, we certainly don't want an unhappy fish. so we went and got Red a fish tree. we're pretty sure Red likes his tree. it seems like he does.
we have our first pet. x your fingers and your toes for us, please. may Red live a very long betta fish life. pleease.

I have had TONS of betta fish... they can live a long time! Except for the one I named Sushi. He died quickly. That was my fault for naming him Sushi.

The look on T's face in the first picture is priceless. Now, the fish really looks like a Dusty or maybe you could have named him Pickle or maybe Fluffy. Hmmm, Dusty would do. So that's his middle name. Ok, done!

We probably should have gone this route instead of dirty, cheap goldfish. Ha!
