my very first trifle

i've officially embarked on a love affair with skinnytaste.com.  it just delivers every time.  we had dinner  with friends' last night and were in charge of dessert.  i headed straight to skinnytaste to scope a recipe, and when i saw the Red, White and Blueberry Trifle, i had to make it.  rhett came home with a glass trifle dish months ago, and i was so excited to finally have something to make in it.

the cream filling was non fat cool whip, sugar free white chocolate pudding, and non fat sweet condensed milk layered with fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries {an addition i made to the recipe}, and pound cake.  the recipe called for angel food cake, but my favorite market only had pound cake, and it was a fine substitute.  it likely increased the calorie intake of one cup from 170 to a bit higher, but still.. a fresh, pretty, light dessert.  and it was so fun to make. skinnytaste comin' through, again.  yum.

i chose not to post a pic of the one she made, cause it was lots better than mine :),
but you can find the recipe {here}

That looks delicious! I love skinny taste - the enchiladas are a must try. My husband requests them at least a few times a month.

And I adore skinnytaste...I honestly don't think I've tried a bad recipe yet from them.

Happy weekend!

It looks delicious.

Do you watch Friends? I can't see a trifle without thinking of Rachel making Thanksgiving dessert.
