| thrifted it. jeans and top. $9.96 full thrift retail. |
Saturday I was headed to a coffee shop to start my new, supposedly very racy read, 50 Shades of Grey, and I purposely headed in the direction of a swank'er part of town so I could pop into a thrift store. I walked into the nicest Salvation Army I have ever been in, in my entire life. It was so clean, and so very organized, and even sported a cafe with a very nice sitting area. The art was displayed throughout the entire store like a gallery. It was crazy. I was in such amazement I had to stop another shopper and ask her if she'd ever been to a nicer thrift store, and she hadn't either.
And oh.my.gawd. I scored like you wouldn't believe. I was on cloud nine. 3 hours later - yes, three - hours later as I was checking out, full of utter glee at my first ever crazy-insanely-successful thrifting shop, my balloon suffered slight deflation when the cashier said "Hun, just want to let you know, make sure you come back tomorrow okay? Tomorrow the whole store is 50% off. 50% off every Sunday and lots of other days of the week too. You know, we're always trying to move product." Serious!? This would have been good information THREE HOURS ago. But by that point, I was completely vested, no way was I going to risk coming back and having to rehunt it the next day, it was coming home with me now. Period. It was still a killer deal, even at Salvation Army retail pricing.
Do you dig the 70's kick back feel of this look? I dooooo! I loved it actually, wore it out for date night that night. Rhett said he liked it too. "I like your 70's look babe. Definitely worth mixing it into the mix.. every few weeks or so." hahaha. I won't be rocking it every other day or anything, but it was fun and cheery. And ab crunch inspiring. :P

Sweet outfit! I have my favorite thrift shop in town- not very swank- but they do have 50% off sales from time-to-time, and I like how the clothes are organized by size so I don't waste time looking through pretty thinks that won't fit me. I always leave with a huge bag full of stuff!
You look groovy baby! :) Sorry I had to...
i love anything 70's and as soon as i saw your pic on pleated poppy i knew i had to pop over! Love everything about this outfit! 70's fab!! :)xx

DANG! Look at that booty!!! You look adorable!!
Rockin Moma! Love these pics. I have yet to find a good thrift store here in Nashville. The good wills suck and you don't want to go to the Salvation army because of the scary people. Maybe I just give you a list and you go for me! So beautiful M!
I do love the 70's vibe!! Glad you had such a successful thrifting day! I love it when that happens! :)

Love it!!
Loving this 70s look on you!! That shirt is super cute! Where do you live?! I need to get to that Salvation Army! The one I usually go to is probably the exact opposite of what you described lol I do always find good stuff though!
Adorable outfit! Awesome price. I am totally jealous as a fellow thrifter of a great sounding store! We have a SA here and it's ok. Clean, organized...but not that jazzy sounding. The clerks in my SA know me by name. LOL Shop thrift much?
Hahaha! Were you in the Pearl District? I LOVE your look here (I am experiencing some serious envy for that top...so cute and unique).
Love your photos here also Makaila!!

PS - My book club JUST chose "50 Shades of Gray" for our next read! I hear it is a doozy :) You'll have to tell me what you think!
