memories of Sun day

i'd offer my apologies for drowning the blog with sun photos and outings as of late, but.. i won't, because after all it is MY blog, and even though rhett has a point - any person out there from anywhere but portland may not understand how exactly iconic and rare the sun is around here and that my over the top happiness may not be understandable.. but, i simply don't care because i AM insanely happy and i will need these memories to reflect back on when the rain returns.. on wednesday.  but i won't even let that thought dampen my happiness.  no way, no how.  it's been a marvelous couple of days, days for the memory book.

sunday afternoon we topped 80 here in pdx and we went downtown and met up with family at the portland saturday market.  we found a spot on the grass, laid out a blanket, watched the kids play in the water fountain, and enjoyed all the craziness.  along with the rest of portland.  there were soo many people out.  we portlander's *shudder.  i guess it's true, i am one now* do not take the sun for granted.  no doubt about it.  

i've said it before.  rhett is the best sport in the whole wide world.  he humored me and stood in the middle of the grass and kissed me while we tried to take pictures of our shadows.  i saw it on pinterest and thought it was so cute.  we look like monkey's.  but we tried.
